Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent industry experience and excellent technical skills.

They will also possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities will include providing technical support to stakeholders, engaging in stakeholder meetings to discuss configuration impacts and managing deployment of codeplug updates post-approval.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Motorola radio systems and experience in operations environments.

Additionally, they will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with Land Mobile Radio systems, especially Motorola ASTRO P25.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support to stakeholders.
  • Engaging in stakeholder meetings to discuss configuration impacts.
  • Managing deployment of codeplug updates post-approval.
  • Conducting regression testing for firmware updates.
  • Reviewing and summarizing new software and firmware releases for customers.
  • Developing and managing codeplugs, updating documentation.
  • Supporting customer technical requirements with a team of radio configuration specialists.
Requirements:

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Land Mobile Radio systems, especially Motorola ASTRO P25.
  • Interfacing with clients and vendors, software/firmware testing, codeplug management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of Motorola radio systems and experience in operations environments.
