Financial Accountant Opportunity

Job Overview:

Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role will provide financial services support to the Commercial Manager, including preparation of month-end financial results, daily banking and reconciliation, SAP debtor invoicing, vendor invoice management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of month-end financial results
  • Daily banking and reconciliation
  • SAP debtor invoicing / management
  • Vendor invoice management
  • Financial reporting
  • Management of property leases and assets
  • Travel facilitation
  • Oversight and interpretation of commercial agreements
  • Assist in ad hoc projects and analysis

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance (or substantial experience in this field)
  • Experience in SAP, Meditech, and Microsoft Office software applications
  • Strong knowledge of accounting operations - Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, and General Ledger
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to change within daily activities
  • Ability to manage workloads within time constraint ensuring accuracy
  • Ability to manage expectations, communicate clearly, and ensure that issues are escalated and managed appropriately
