The role is for a senior engineer specializing in transmission projects. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in driving successful project outcomes across brownfield and greenfield projects.

Job Description:

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide technical support for customer and company-initiated transmission projects.

Your responsibilities will include providing engineering support, developing scopes, reviewing designs, ensuring constructability, safety, and maintainability, contributing to cost-effective business cases, supporting schedules, risk registers, and commercial offers.

Additionally, you will identify opportunities to enhance standards and improve engineering processes, build strong relationships with internal teams and design service providers, lead, coach, and share expertise with team members, and assist in scoping, risk assessment, and commercial inputs for transmission substations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Full driver's license
  • Registered Engineer in Victoria (RPEV) or eligibility
  • Civil, Structural or Electrical engineering project experience around electricity networks and transmission lines
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER design software
  • Strong understanding of lifecycles, design, construction, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to simplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers
  • Proven capability in coaching, mentoring, and leading project teams
  • Ability to build relationships across divisions and with external partners
  • Engineers Australia membership or equivalent preferred; regular local travel required
