The field of electrical engineering is an exciting and dynamic discipline that involves the application of scientific principles to the design, development, and operation of electrical systems. In this role, you will be working with a team of experienced engineers to deliver high-quality transmission and substation projects for clients across Australia.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience, with a strong background in electrical utilities projects. A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is essential, along with a demonstrated ability to work towards CPEng status. Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia are also required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled engineer to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of electricity networks engineering, as well as experience in primary design for substations and terminal stations.

We are looking for a professional who can effectively manage the detail design from concept through to final design implementation, while maintaining high levels of technical performance. The ability to identify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirements is also essential.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertaking primary design for substations and terminal stations to a high technical standard
  • Developing scopes and specifications for design and construction
  • Managing outcomes within budget and project programme constraints whilst maintaining high levels of technical performance
  • Reviewing work as part of the peer review process from time to time as may be required

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of AutoCAD and Microstation, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels.
