Principal Transmission Lines Engineer Job

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the way in transmission infrastructure, enabling Australia's renewable energy transition.

As a key member of our team, you will be at the forefront of reimagining our transmission infrastructure. This role blends deep technical expertise with people leadership—driving innovation while empowering others.

  • Lead the transformation of our transmission infrastructure to enable Australia's renewable energy transition.
  • Provide strategic technical direction to optimise asset performance and ensure long-term network resilience.
  • Mentor and inspire your team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver CAPEX/OPEX work plans and asset strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Champion innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to enhance asset resilience and performance.
  • Guide risk management, compliance, and regulatory submissions for transmission lines.
  • Oversee condition assessments, scope development, and project initiation to maintain safety and reliability.
  • Lead the creation and refinement of asset specifications, maintenance strategies, and business cases.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Engineering (Electrical or Structural)
  • Significant demonstrated years of engineering design / asset management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment, and technologies, with a focus on transmission lines and emerging trends and innovations
  • Deep understanding of relevant Australian and International standards and industry codes of practice for transmission lines
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic asset management plans, preferably in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of relevant condition monitoring and assessment techniques for transmission lines
  • Knowledge of transmission line design standards and principles and construction experience
  • Professional body membership: National Engineering Registration
