Strategic Sourcing Manager Position

About the Role
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain team at Electro Optic Systems Pty Ltd, responsible for developing and implementing the company's global sourcing and procurement strategy. This strategic role involves identifying and selecting suitable vendors for the supply of materials and services, in line with the company's technical, engineering, and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers locally and internationally.
- Identify and select vendors that meet the company's technical, engineering, and commercial requirements.
- Support the design and production of EOS products and components, ensuring competitive advantage through strategic sourcing.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's global supply chain efficiencies and strategy.
- Support the costing and estimating needs of the business by obtaining competitive quotes from external parties.
- Maintain awareness of vendor lead times and negotiate changes as required.
- Manage vendor performance and resolve quality matters, vendor capability, and lead time constraints.
- Review stockholdings with Production Planners to ensure adequate stock levels are held to meet company objectives.
- Work with the company's ERP and MRP system to optimize the flow of materials through the supply chain.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the company's material specifications and drawings, as well as product ranges and methods of manufacture.

About You
- International and local sourcing experience at a strategic level.
- Thorough understanding of engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
- Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing trade or degree qualification.
- Commercial/business qualifications desirable.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) highly regarded.
- CIPS accreditations highly regarded.
