Procurement and Sourcing Strategist

Electro Optic Systems (EOS) is a leading Australian technology company operating in the defence and aerospace markets. We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement and Sourcing Strategist to join our supply chain team on a permanent full-time basis.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans to meet the needs of our business.
- They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- This role will also involve negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business needs.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and measure performance.
Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the defence or aerospace industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
