About the Role
As a compassionate and skilled Care Worker, you will have the rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older community members. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and support to those in need.

  • Provide home help services: general housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
  • Provide personal care services: getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed; assisting with medications; assisting with mobility and therapy goals; providing complex care for high care needs (e.g., dementia); providing social and emotional support; transporting clients to activities or appointments; supporting family carers.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Providing medication management and administration.
  • Supporting clients with mobility and therapy goals, including transfers and exercise programs.
  • Providing social and emotional support to clients and their families.
  • Transporting clients to activities or appointments.
  • Supporting family carers through education, respite, and other forms of assistance.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
  • Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A commitment to maintaining client privacy and dignity at all times.
