About the Role:- Deliver tailored support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan, promoting independence and well-being.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, nutrition, and mobility, while fostering a safe and respectful environment.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients, ensuring reliable and efficient support.
- Offer respite care to clients and their families, providing temporary relief and promoting long-term stability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress, facilitating effective collaboration and communication.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, promoting open communication and mutual respect.
- Comply with health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients, staff, and others.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field, enhancing skills and knowledge.
- A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities, demonstrating a genuine passion for supporting others.
- Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, prioritizing the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
- Ability to work with diverse client populations, acknowledging and respecting the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
- Basic care and first aid skills, demonstrating a commitment to client safety and well-being.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, facilitating effective communication and record-keeping.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities, ensuring continuous growth and improvement.
