Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of Red Hat Consulting engagements to our internal and external customers, providing expert guidance on the implementation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and related technologies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert at the client site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs, and providing recommendations for optimal solutions.
- Constantly learn about new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
- Produce high-quality results and provide support to multiple projects in various industries and project types, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Keep stakeholders updated on actual or potential issues that may affect project or company performance, providing proactive solutions and recommendations.
- Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, and software specification, as well as the design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company standards.
- Provide written project documentation that can be distributed within Red Hat and the client management team, ensuring clarity and accuracy of information.
- Adapt to changing customer requirements, demonstrating flexibility and a customer-centric approach.
- Serve as an ambassador of the company between the broader Red Hat and our customers, promoting our values and services.
- Experience in a consulting or related role, with a strong background in enterprise-wide deployments and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and related technologies, including Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, and authentication services.
- Working knowledge of Linux Security Practices and tools to address common criteria, ensuring the security and integrity of customer systems.
- Technical expertise demonstrated in previous career opportunities, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team to solve problems and issues, demonstrating a collaborative and customer-centric approach.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days.
- Australian government security clearance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
