Senior Consultant

Red Hat Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our team in Canberra, Australia. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering and implementing Red Hat Infrastructure solutions and offerings to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to Red Hat engineers and project managers to ensure the delivery of tailored solutions to our customers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on-site, addressing customer technical, development, and IT issues and needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and apply them to customer needs.
  • Adapt to changing customer requirements and manage technical problem identification and resolution.
  • Participate in internal initiatives, create consulting white papers, and update the knowledge base.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of issues that may affect project or company performance.
  • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions, and handle sensitive conversations in a professional manner.
  • Kick off new projects, guide the implementation team, and monitor project progress.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects.
  • Experience with UNIX or Linux database administration and tuning.
  • Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Extensive knowledge of other Infrastructure products, including Ansible, Satellite, and authentication services.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning skills.
  • Practical experience with or knowledge of Python, Perl, and/or shell scripting languages.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Australian Government security clearance.
