Food Services/Catering Assistant Role

The Care Services Assistant plays a vital role in nutrition and dining, enabling residents to live fulfilling lives through person-centered care tailored to individual needs and preferences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in meal preparation, delivery, presentation, and service
  • Supporting residents with meal choices and timing preferences
  • Considering allergies and food intolerances
  • Enhancing the dining experience through engagement and empathy
  • Maintaining accurate nutrition and dietary information
  • Supporting food safety and kitchen stock management

To be successful, you will have:

  • Customer service skills
  • A compassionate and caring attitude
  • Experience in restaurant or commercial kitchens (highly regarded)
  • Willingness to take direction and be reliable
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Valid Australian working rights
  • Ability to complete a police check
  • Willingness to obtain seasonal flu vaccinations and NDIS Worker Check
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
