You will provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and strategic insight while shaping the investigative frameworks and practices that strengthen regulatory effectiveness and safeguard future compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead complex and sensitive investigations into potential breaches by employers and principal contractors.
  • Oversight of audits, analytical reviews, and systemic investigations to identify patterns, risks, and compliance issues.
  • Act as a key referral point for escalated cases, applying sound judgment to manage high-stakes matters.
  • Collaborate with the Legal team on statutory notices, documentation, and enforcement actions.
  • Guide compliance field officers and peers, uplifting capability in investigative approaches and regulatory interpretation.
  • Prepare clear, high-quality reports with findings, analysis, and recommendations to inform corrective action and enforcement strategies.
  • Contribute to compliance reform initiatives, risk management, and organisation-wide strategies to enhance regulatory capability.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Deep expertise in investigations, audit practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Able to make sound, evidence-based decisions in ambiguous or high-stakes environments.
  • Proven experience leading complex investigations and cross-functional projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to influence at all levels.
