Senior Product Manager

This pivotal role plays a crucial part in shaping the women's category at our company, curating a selection that reflects the latest trends and meets the evolving needs of our customers.

The product development team works together with the planning team to drive sales, maximise profit, manage intake and ensure that of the moment and forward-thinking ranges engage our customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of company-wide strategies and OKRs.
  • Conduct market research, stay up-to-date with the latest trends and products in the e-commerce industry and make recommendations on product and/or brand selection.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and assist in the selection and deactivation process.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and conditions for contracts while delivering the best customer-facing assortment in the market.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and industry regulations.
  • Identify emerging trends and source new products that resonate with our customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor details including Brand Plans, SKU lists, department brand profile matrix.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements for the customer onsite experience.
  • Analyse data, interpret trends and propose informed decisions based on data.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and propose effective procurement and platform strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and collaborate with vendors to achieve mutual goals and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Liaise onboarding for vendors with internal teams and provide ongoing support.
  • Work collaboratively with agreed key brands on building assortment.
  • Manage inefficient and unproductive brands and propose informed strategies.
  • Attention to detail with contract terms and conditions; read and understand complex contracts and ensure all terms are met.
  • Collaborate with marketing to identify GTM and promotional opportunities for your category to drive sales.
  • Develop and implement strategic road maps according to commercial strategies, brand adjacencies and customer demographics.
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations and Finance.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Adapt to market changes and be open to learning new skills and approaches.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
