Family Services Support Worker

Key Responsibilities:

This is a full-time role for a Family Services Support Worker, located on-site in Darwin, NT. The successful candidate will support families by providing advocacy, information, and practical assistance. Day-to-day tasks include assessing individual needs, connecting families with community resources, coordinating with other support services, and maintaining accurate records of support activities.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in family services, social work, or community support
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community members and other service providers
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Understanding of First Nations cultures and communities is highly desirable
  • Relevant qualifications in social work, community services, or a related field
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting the well-being of children and families
