The program

The Galiwin'ku Community Support Volunteer role is part of the BabyHub program, which works to enhance family health and wellbeing in the Galiwin'ku community. By assisting Program Officers and supporting BabyHub activities, this role contributes to building stronger families and a connected, resilient community.

The opportunity

As a Galiwin'ku Community Support Volunteer, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with the vibrant local community while gaining hands-on experience in community development. In this role, you will support BabyHub activities, assist with program coordination, and provide essential administrative support to Program Officers. You will also contribute to creating a welcoming environment for families while learning from and working alongside passionate professionals in the humanitarian sector. Red Cross equips all volunteers for success through comprehensive training, ongoing support, and access to opportunities within the world's largest humanitarian network.

In this role, you will make a meaningful difference by supporting family-focused programs, strengthening community resilience, and learning about the unique culture of Galiwin'ku. Your contributions will enhance essential services and foster positive change, offering a deeply rewarding experience.

Application Requirements
  • For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross.
  • The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check depending on your State/Territory. Red Cross can assist you to apply for this check.
