We're seeking a skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. This role involves managing procurement processes, sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and procuring raw materials, components, fittings, appliances, and finished goods in line with production schedules
  • Maintaining and building supplier relationships to support quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to meet commercial objectives
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Finance teams to ensure supplier performance meets technical and operational requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing, and relevant regulations
  • Monitoring supplier performance, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, preferably Acumatica and Smartsheet
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and raw material requirements
  • Experience with both local and international suppliers
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
