Procurement Professional Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our Supply Chain team.

This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials to production teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure raw materials, components and finished goods in line with production schedules.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and delivery terms to meet commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier performance meets technical and operational requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system and report on supplier performance, lead times and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and raw material requirements.
  • Experience working with both local and international suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented, organised and committed to continuous improvement.
