Job Overview:

The role of a Speech Pathologist involves providing clinical services to individuals with varying communication and swallowing needs. This position requires working across early intervention, school age, adolescent, and adult services in diverse settings.

  • Communication Assessments
  • Swallowing and Paediatric Feeding (Dysphagia) Assessments
  • Mealtime Management Plan development and reviews
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication Assessments
  • Ongoing therapy sessions

Clinical services will be provided in various environments, including family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools, preschools, community settings, telehealth, and offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver clinical services to participants aged 0-65
  • Work with clients who have complex communication and swallowing needs
  • Develop close relationships with clients and celebrate their achievements
  • Create and review Mealtime Management Plans
  • Conduct Augmentative and Alternative Communication Assessments
  • Provide ongoing therapy sessions
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Registration or ability to become registered with the relevant speech pathology association
  • A car and driver's license
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to acquire one for client-facing roles
