An exciting opportunity exists to join a reputable community hospital as part of a highly committed team. We are seeking a dedicated psychiatrist for a permanent dual-role position comprising Clinical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry.
As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert medical assessment and management of adult patients aged 18-65 years living with mental illness and associated conditions. As Clinical Director, you will offer strong leadership and vision, working collaboratively with the Service Director and reporting to the District Clinical Director. You will play a key role in championing the healthcare needs of the local community, ensuring that services are responsive, person-centred, and consistently delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.
The Mental Health Service includes a 28-bed Acute Mental Health Unit, a 5-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit, and experienced community mental health teams responsible for delivering treatment, care, and support to individuals living in the community.
This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a leadership role while continuing to provide hands-on clinical care in a supportive, collaborative, and progressive environment.
