As a Disability Support Worker, your primary responsibility is to provide quality services and safeguards to individuals with disabilities. This involves supporting people in a group residential setting through manual handling, community access, transportation, personal care, and companionship.
Our organization delivers high-quality services that enable our participants to live an independent life while listening to their views and those of their families. Our ultimate goal is to maximize the independence and functional skills of our participants to achieve the best quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing domestic and personal care support
- Assisting with transportation and medication management
- Building on individual strengths and enabling individuals to reach their goals
- Supporting community participation and group centre activities
- Current Police Check
- Current driver's licence
- Car, registration and insurance
- Relevant qualification in Disability or Aged Care or Individual Support (advantageous)
- Two relevant professional reference checks
- Will to provide or obtain Victorian Working with Children's Check for employment purposes
- Will to provide or obtain NDIS worker screening check
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- NDIS Orientation Module
- NDIS Infection Control Module
- NDIS Screening Check
Benefits include professional development assistance and travel reimbursement. Schedule includes 8 hour shifts, afternoon shift, day shift, evening shift, flexible hours, Monday to Friday, morning shift, public holidays, rotating roster, shift work, weekend availability. Supplemental pay types include penalty rates.
