Our organization seeks a skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in their homes and within the community, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.

To be successful in this position, you must possess well-developed initiative, flexibility, and adaptability in challenging situations. You should also have the ability to organize and action daily tasks and schedules efficiently.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing weekly attendance and delivering support services to clients
  • Creating a positive client experience while adhering to NDIS compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with the NDIS Code of Conduct, Incident Management, and Quality and Safeguards practice standards
  • Handling client issues/incident reporting in a timely and professional manner
  • Understanding client NDIS Plans, goals, and Care Plans to ensure shift tasks are met
  • Personal care, manual handling, and medication administration
  • Transporting clients to appointments and community access as per client requirements

To be eligible for this role, applicants must demonstrate evident experience in the Disability sector and the NDIS. They must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, hold up-to-date First Aid & CPR certification, and possess a valid Driver's License with comprehensive insurance.

The ideal candidate will be able to work under limited supervision and contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement activities.

This is a casual opportunity that offers competitive hourly rates of $32.00 - $42.00. The schedule includes 10 hour shifts, 12 hour shifts, 8 hour shifts, afternoon shifts, day shifts, evening shifts, morning shifts, night shifts, and shift work. COVID-19 considerations include double-dose vaccinations.

Preferred qualifications include a Working with Children Check, National Police Certificate, and Driver Licence. If you have manual handling experience, an NDIS Worker Screening Check, or prefer day shifts, night shifts, or overnight shifts, please highlight this in your application.
