Family Support Specialist

This role involves working with young people and their families who are facing various challenges. Your task will be to provide support using evidence-based methods.

You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, lead community forums, reference groups, projects, and maintain networks with stakeholders.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must have a drive to support young people and their families. Experience working with diverse cultures and strong relationship-building skills are essential.

Additionally, you will possess:

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in the Community Services Sector are preferred but not required
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families presenting complex issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively in complex situations
  • Solid administrative, record-keeping, and case management documentation skills
  • Ability to work innovatively, flexibly, and autonomously where needed
  • Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
