Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the rehabilitation and return-to-work process of injured workers.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant, you will work closely with employers, medical specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans. Your expertise in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or exercise physiology will be invaluable in helping individuals recover from injuries and return to their roles with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your networks and industry knowledge to identify new return-to-work opportunities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with employers seeking return-to-work support for their organizations
  • Case management for injured workers requiring physical and/or psychological support to return them back to employment
  • Taking a holistic care approach, establish key relationships with health professionals and work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing
  • Perform various assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic, or activities of daily living assessments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the injured employee, employer, medical specialists, and other allied health professionals to develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans
Requirements:
  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA)
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, or nursing
  • Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
  • Passion for helping people rehabilitate
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
