Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead outage planning, coordination, and execution across our scope. As a Senior Project Engineer - Outages, you will oversee the development and delivery of outage plans for transmission line energisation, underground cable commissioning, and substation upgrades.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent outages. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including engineers, construction crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders, to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of outages that enable energisation, commissioning, and integration of new infrastructure into the grid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver outage plans for transmission line energisation, underground cable commissioning, and substation upgrades.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver outage scopes safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Lead the execution of outages, ensuring all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and within the scheduled window.
  • Provide on-site leadership during outages, including real-time decision-making and issue resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in outage coordination or construction project management within the power or utilities sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, grid operations, and outage management procedures.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools and outage tracking software.
