
Electrical Systems Manager

Key Responsibilities
This role involves overseeing outage planning, coordination, and execution for the Clean Energy Link North (CELN) project. You will work closely with engineers, construction crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of outages that enable energisation, commissioning, and integration of new infrastructure into the South West Interconnected System (SWIS).
- Develop and deliver outage plans for transmission line energisation, underground cable commissioning, and substation upgrades, ensuring clarity, safety, and alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the corridor to deliver outage scopes safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Execute outages, ensuring all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and within the scheduled window.
- Provide on-site leadership during outages, including real-time decision-making and issue resolution.
- Communicate outage plans, progress, and restoration timelines to project managers and regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate outage review meetings to assess performance and identify improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in outage coordination or construction project management within the power or utilities sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, grid operations, and outage management procedures.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools and outage tracking software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent outages.
