Position Overview

The role of the Credit Officer entails managing the complete credit process for a portfolio of accounts. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Supervising high-volume credit and collections for the designated accounts.
  • Assessing risks and negotiating credit limits and payment conditions.
  • Overseeing monthly and annual debtor reporting.
  • Resolving disputes effectively.
  • Collaborating with internal sales teams regarding customer accounts.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in credit and collections, with experience in managing substantial collections within a large corporate environment. Key qualifications include:

  • Proficient in relevant systems (preferably Oracle or JD Edwards) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to foster and maintain cooperative relationships with clients while managing disputes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
