We have an exciting opportunity for a Property and Marine Underwriting Manager to join our team.

In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth in the portfolio, managing new business, and the renewal portfolio. You will work closely with the NSW sales and underwriting team to achieve a strong market focus.

The successful candidate will have experience in Property Underwriting, commercially astute, and a comprehensive understanding of the general insurance industry. They will also have proven technical underwriting capability and technical leadership, as well as ANZIIF CIP membership or equivalent.

A strong understanding of the broker market, superior skills in relationship building and negotiations, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Underwriters in state to drive profitable growth in the portfolio
  • Manage new business and the renewal portfolio

  • Experience in Property Underwriting

  • Comprehensive understanding of the general insurance industry
  • Proven technical underwriting capability and technical leadership
