Role Overview

In this exciting role, you will be part of the team at Intrax, a dynamic company that aims to create, inspire and grow. We are seeking a skilled Field Operations Specialist/ Site Exploration Technician to join our team.

About the Job

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about site exploration and operations. As a Field Operations Specialist/Site Exploration Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform site explorations, collect data, and conduct various field activities related to drilling, logging, and sampling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site explorations, including drilling, logging, and sampling in accordance with AS- standards;
  • Operate machinery, such as ute-mounted auger and percussion tube sampler;
  • Collect and log soil samples and produce feature surveys;
  • Assist with drafting and engineering tasks, as well as working with NATA-accredited laboratory teams;
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff and occasionally with clients;
  • Organize daily tasks efficiently and effectively under changing conditions.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you should have:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or some site experience (desirable but not essential);
  • A full driver's license;
  • 3.5t towing experience (desirable but not essential);
  • Experience/exposure to operating machinery, ideally ute-mounted drilling rigs;
  • Experience or interest in survey equipment, ideally Leica or similar (desirable but not essential);
  • The ability to work autonomously;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs;
  • An Industry White Card (essential);
  • A willingness to work outdoors;
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary for this role, estimated to be around $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
