About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide exceptional care and support to residents living with dementia. As a Dementia Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised care and support to residents living with dementia
  • Engage residents with meaningful activities that promote comfort, familiarity, and positive emotion
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for residents, promoting independence, dignity, and optimal wellbeing
  • Foster a calm and reassuring environment, responding empathetically to residents' emotional needs
  • Provide backup support to care staff as needed

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, as well as 6 months of experience in aged care. You should also be passionate about enhancing the wellbeing of older adults and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
