Job Description

As a seasoned Project Officer, you will be responsible for analyzing commercial and financial programs, major projects, and initiatives in accordance with commercial practice and risk guidelines. This entails conducting thorough assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting probity searches for incentive programs as requested.
  • Performing commercial risk assessments on projects for various incentive programs.
  • Preparing reports to support business cases, including financial analysis and management capacity evaluations.
  • Evaluating management capacity and funding capacity on projects, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Contributing to the development of project risk matrices and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Reviewing assessments and business case proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinating responses to foreign investment proposals and providing critical feedback.
  • Assisting with negotiations and financial analysis of major projects and proposals relating to funding arrangements.
  • Preparing reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence to stakeholders.
  • Supporting funding agreement management and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in project management, preferably with experience in commercial and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
