Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

A key member of our machinery and equipment maintenance team, responsible for performing breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and annual overhauls to ensure smooth operation and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to machinery breakdowns, perform repairs, and maintain effective operation of all equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the annual maintenance program and overhaul schedule.
  • Ensure safe and effective operation of all machinery and equipment.
  • Assist with purchase, construction, and installation of new machinery as required.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and actively participate in safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to share knowledge and contribute to a positive team culture.

Required skills include mechanical trade certificate in fitting and machining, welding certification (MMAW and GTAW processes), and strong mechanical aptitude and engineering skills.

Qualifications include experience in the food manufacturing industry and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in pumps, gearboxes, and other machinery.
