As a skilled machinery technician, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and upkeep of heavy industrial equipment.

The Mechanical Fitter position is key to ensuring the smooth operation of our projects across various sectors, including mining and manufacturing.

  • Carry out repairs and overhauls of complex machinery with attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless project outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification as a Machinery Technician (Cert III or equivalent).
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments, preferably in mining or manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain equipment to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Reliable transport and C class license for site visits.
  • Knowledge of machines such as Continuous Miners & Underground Shuttle Cars and their components.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
