The successful candidate will have a strong background in geology, mining engineering, or a related discipline, with proven experience in iron ore operations, particularly in BIF-hosted hematite deposits.

About the Role:

This is a leadership role that requires the ability to manage and motivate a team of geologists, as well as oversee resource models, drilling, and mine sequencing.

The Geology Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that all exploration compliments rehabilitation efforts, shaping landforms to be safe, stable, and non-polluting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the review and reclassification of BIF-hosted hematite resources across multiple deposits.
  2. Oversee resource models, drilling, and mine sequencing.
  3. Manage grade control systems and operational geology support.
  4. Design and execute exploration programs, implement gravity surveys to enhance resource identification.
  5. Oversee contractor supervision, approvals, and heritage engagement.
  6. Maintain geological data systems, QA/QC processes, and monthly reporting.
Requirements:
  1. Tertiary qualification in geology, mining engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Proven experience in iron ore operations, particularly in BIF-hosted hematite deposits.
  3. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing geological teams.
  4. Familiarity with gravity surveys and geological data interpretation.
  5. Manual C-Class driver's licence.
