System Automation Specialist - Iron Ore IndustryJob Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Automation Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects in the iron ore industry.

As a System Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, programming, and commissioning control systems. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and delivery.

Your primary focus will be on developing automation solutions that meet the specific needs of our projects. This includes working with Allen Bradley PLC, Flex 5000 remote I/O, E300 motor protection relay, and Siemens LV drive configuration.

You will also be responsible for interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics, and other design documentation to ensure accurate implementation of automation systems.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Australian accredited 4-year engineering degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the iron ore industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLC, Flex 5000 remote I/O, E300 motor protection relay, and Siemens LV drive configuration.
  • Familiarity with BHP WAIO or Port standard drive logic including safety PLCs.
  • Ability to follow P&IDs, electrical schematics, and other design documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with attention to detail.
