Immersive VR Training Scenarios Developer

We are seeking a skilled developer to create realistic Virtual Reality training environments that enhance decision-making, situational awareness, and safety for frontline personnel.

The ideal candidate will design and deliver high-fidelity training simulations using Unreal Engine or Unity, working closely with a digital learning team and operational experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create immersive VR experiences that replicate real-world emergency response settings.
  • Develop high-fidelity 3D environments that mirror real-world scenarios.
  • Integrate assets, animations, and technical data to create realistic simulations.
  • Collaborate with trainers and subject matter experts to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Support iterative development cycles including prototyping, testing, and optimisation of performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years' experience with Unity or Unreal Engine in VR/AR/MR, gaming, or simulation.
  • Proficiency in C++ (Unreal) or C# (Unity) and Blueprint scripting.
  • Experience creating immersive 3D environments and optimising performance for VR hardware and platforms.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in emergency response, defence, or high-stakes training environments.
  • Exposure to multiplayer or networked simulation environments.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven NPC behaviours for training.
  • Experience working with government or public safety organisations.
  • Familiarity with 3D modelling software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
