Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic product initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely project execution.
About the Role
- Lead customer-facing workstreams, defining project scope, milestones, and timelines to achieve business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers on operational workstreams, jointly leading program management, including program structure, risk management, issue resolution, interdependencies, key decision-making, and communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external vendor partners to align priorities and manage expectations.
- Oversight of end-to-end streams within projects, including delivery, schedule, dependencies, budget, resource, and contingency management.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective support for product delivery and collaboration with relationship managers for material outsource providers.
- Facilitate effective project meetings, ensuring thorough follow-up on action items and timely execution of tasks.
- Evaluate and document decisions, risks, and issues, communicating them across the team.
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track program health, progress, and outcomes, tracking interdependencies, and delivering clear and actionable updates to executives and delivery owners.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar or highly complementary role, including strategic product management.
- Good understanding of superannuation and wealth management products, processes, and regulatory environments.
- Highly developed delivery and implementation skills, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proven track record of leading and successfully delivering complex projects across cross-functional teams and external vendor partners.
- Excellent numerical proficiency, strong commercial acumen, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of superannuation, market structures, and the broader asset management ecosystem.
- Significant experience in setting up and maintaining robust project governance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration mindset.
- Ability to utilize data and information to draw out insights and drive outcomes.
- Capacity to quickly comprehend intricate concepts and adjust to shifting circumstances.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CFA or Master of Applied Finance are advantageous.
- Agile or similar certification would be highly desirable.
