People Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled People Services Director to join our leadership group at Family Life.

  • Drive strategic people initiatives: Aligned with Family Life's mission and values
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team: Developing others and driving results
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding: Ensuring we have the right people in the right roles
  • Manage employee relations and compliance: Keeping up-to-date with changing legislation and regulations

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a senior HR generalist role, with strong knowledge of employment law and industrial relations. You will be a collaborative leader with a passion for developing others, and a genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and social impact.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Strategic Initiatives:

Develop and implement people services strategies aligned with Family Life's mission and values.

Leading and Mentoring a High-Performing Team:

Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of HR professionals.

Overseeing Recruitment and Onboarding:

Ensure seamless recruitment and onboarding processes for new employees.

Managing Employee Relations and Compliance:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and industrial relations, and ensure compliance across the organisation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Proven experience in a senior HR generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and industrial relations
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills
