Clinical Midwife Opportunity

Mater Mothers' Hospital is seeking skilled and compassionate Clinical Midwives to provide exceptional care to women with complex medical conditions.

This role involves providing continuity of care throughout the pregnancy continuum, utilizing excellent communication skills and building relationships to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

As a Clinical Midwife, you will be responsible for:

  • Covering an on-call roster to provide evidence-based continuity of care for women from antenatal to intrapartum and up to 6 weeks postnatal
  • Working within the community and hospital environment
  • Working in partnership with women and the multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting the Midwifery Unit Manager in service development and data collection

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
  • Recent experience working in antenatal, birth suite and postnatal settings
  • Experience of providing continuity of care to women (Desirable not essential)
  • Demonstrated high levels of communication (both written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Evidence of continuing educational and professional development
  • Commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
  • Ability to work in a team environment including the larger multidisciplinary team
