Chief Sustainability Officer

This is a key leadership position within the organization's sustainability team, responsible for driving impactful initiatives and ensuring environmental excellence.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the site's environmental strategy, aligning with organizational goals. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive energy, water, and waste improvements, and overseeing the site's Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001:2015 standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the site's environmental strategy, focusing on energy, water, and waste reductions.
- Drive onsite execution of environmental improvement projects, including risk management and compliance.
- Manage environmental contracts, including waste management and by-product handling.
- Coach and support plant teams in best practices for environmental stewardship and compliance.
- Maintain the site's Environmental Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience in environmental management, ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to lead or coach teams on sustainability initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
