Senior Manager, Risk Governance and Compliance

Cuscal Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Risk Management Strategy and Regulatory Affairs function. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our Risk Management Framework and Strategy (RMFS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the strategic development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of Cuscal's RMFS to ensure effective risk management and compliance with industry, regulatory, and prudential standards.
- Coordinate the implementation of strategic and emerging risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to identify and manage material risks.
- Support the design, establishment, and ongoing review of RMFS governance structures.
- Monitor adherence to the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework and coordinate related reporting.
- Act as Cuscal's primary contact for regulators and ensure all interactions meet policy standards with accurate and timely record keeping.
- Build and lead an internal community to facilitate consultation, feedback, and knowledge sharing on matters relating to policy setting and reviews, regulatory change, and emerging risks.
- Provide effective review and challenge as part of participation in the decision-making process, ensuring that material decisions are risk-based and risk frameworks support effective decision making.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g., law, finance, business, audit).
- Demonstrated experience in compliance management within the finance and banking industry.
- Sound understanding of relevant laws and regulations, industry codes, standards, and prudential requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in operational risk and compliance roles, including the design and implementation of effective risk and compliance management frameworks, and a sound knowledge of APRA prudential standards.
- Strong change management, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage projects from initiation through to completion across multiple projects while meeting deadlines and managing a high-volume workload of often-changing priorities.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
