Senior Manager Risk and Governance

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Risk and Controls to join our Business Banking Governance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for enabling Business Banking leadership to make informed, high-quality risk/reward decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and deliver the Business Banking Risk Committees and Sub-Committees, engaging senior stakeholders to ensure high-quality risk decisions.
- Drive consistency, simplicity, and efficiency into the governance framework and processes across Business Banking.
- Ensure the effective operation of the Business Banking Risk Committees and Sub-Committees, providing senior management with information to oversee and manage operational, compliance, and credit risk.
- Support the Business Banking Committee Chair, members, and business areas to provide high-quality, relevant, and consistent information to the non-financial risk committees, sub-committees, and forums.
- Apply critical thinking to the Business Banking governance and oversight framework to determine opportunities for improvement, enabling consistency and gain efficiencies while delivering best-in-class governance practices.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge in Operational Risk and compliance.
- Ability to find solutions that balance the needs of various stakeholder groups.
- Comparable experience in Governance and/or a related Line 1 Operational Risk role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think critically, analytically, and strategically.
- Ability to engage with and influence a large and varied stakeholder group.
- Strong organisational, planning, time management, and project management skills.
