About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fraud Investigator to join our Credit Risk team at Humm group. As a Fraud Investigator, you will play a critical role in protecting our business and our customers from fraud through world-class detection, investigation, data analytics, system optimization, and insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and investigate possible fraud activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Support other team members with complex fraud investigations, providing expert guidance and analysis.
  • Liaise with customers and merchants to validate dispute transactions, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure chargebacks are lodged in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with Mastercard scheme rules.
  • Stay up-to-date with Mastercard changes and industry news, identifying new trends and implementing process improvements.
  • Conduct dispute reviews, gathering information and data, and compiling reports for operational reporting.
  • Contribute to the team's success by actively participating in meetings, suggesting continuous improvement ideas, and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the Banking/Finance industry, with a focus on Chargeback Dispute Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, prioritizing workload and meeting challenging deadlines.
  • General knowledge of Collections/Recoveries statutes, including the Consumer Credit Code and Privacy Act.
  • Customer service experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
