Deputy Principal

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to fill the position of Deputy Principal - Intensive English Centre. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of educational leadership, curriculum development, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school's vision, business plan, and strategic directions.
- Embed and maintain aspects of the school culture that promote positive relationships between students and staff, and engage parents, caregivers, and the wider community in the educational work of the school.
- Coordinate and liaise with Curriculum and Student Services Leaders in content following the school's priorities.
- Develop and implement whole school approaches to curriculum, data analysis, and staff professional development.
- Lead collaborative teams in the setting and monitoring of a cohesive, connected approach to curriculum and pedagogical development across the school.
- Manage the Intensive English Centre program, including strategic planning, curriculum development, staff management, and community engagement.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with outside organizations and service providers to support the educational needs of students.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the Intensive English Centre program and make recommendations for improvement.
- Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
- A valid Working With Children Check.
- A National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
- Consent to a National Criminal History Check.
