About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to join our team. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will provide strategic leadership and support to the Principal and staff to achieve the school's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to promote positive relationships between students, staff, and the wider community.
  • Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based Early Years programs to support student engagement, pastoral care, and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with staff and external agencies to support the increasing complex needs of students entering the Early Years.
  • Provide high-level leadership and guidance to staff to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students.
  • Manage staff, physical, and financial resources to achieve planned outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
  • A valid Working With Children Check.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check.
  • Experience in supporting and building the capacity of staff through the implementation of evidence-based programs.
  • High-level interpersonal and public relations skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge to ensure high-level educational outcomes for all students.
