Aged Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team at KinCare in the Burnie TAS area.
As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
- Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and groceries.
- Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management and assistance with mobility and therapy goals.
- Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a much-needed break and helping to alleviate stress and anxiety.
- Transport customers to appointments and social events, ensuring they can access essential services and maintain their social connections.
- Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including those with dementia, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- A competitive hourly rate of $31.24, plus superannuation and paid kilometers.

- Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
- A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel to customers' homes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to work varying shifts and respond to changing customer needs.
