About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at KinCare in the Burnie TAS area. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management and assistance with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offer respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a helping hand when needed.
  • Transport customers to appointments, ensuring they receive the medical attention they require.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia and other conditions.

Requirements
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is part of the role.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days a week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
  • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
