Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

The role of the HSEC Manager is to oversee all health, safety and environmental aspects at our mine site. This includes managing compliance with relevant legislation, coordinating training programs, and ensuring that employees adhere to established procedures.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identify areas for improvement in safety and training procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of employee training and qualifications
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections of the work site to identify potential hazards
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and improve overall workplace safety


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in occupational health and safety, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent is highly desirable.

Key skills and qualifications include:
  • Proven experience in a senior safety role within the mining industry
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
