Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) to become a vital member of our national specialist team. This dynamic team is committed to adapting to the evolving needs of our clients while providing a supportive and engaging work atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and management of SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member's Statements, including Trustee Minutes and Section Notices.
- Administration of SMSF BAS, IAS, and PAYG Payment Summaries.
- Collaboration with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Providing consultative support to colleagues and addressing any compliance issues.
- Assisting in the development of Statements of Advice (SOAs).
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience within the Australian SMSF sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in report writing and presentations.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities, particularly in financial data interpretation.
- A willingness to engage with teams and clients on a national scale.
- Intermediate to advanced IT skills, preferably with experience in Class Super.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications or professional accreditations in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
