About the Role:

We are offering a Casual ongoing position for a Terminal Operator, working Monday to Sunday, with AM and PM shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the movement of cargo on and off freight trains, as well as other operational tasks, in a rail depot environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating Forklifts and Reach Stackers to perform operational duties as required for container movements and train loading/unloading.
  • Forward planning of terminal service requirements for scheduled trains.
  • All training will be provided for the candidate with the right attitude and work ethic.
  • You will need to feel confident using large equipment, as you will be provided training and experience in a telehandler.
  • Shift work including days, nights, and weekends – the scheduled rosters operate 365 days a year and will require flexibility to work all rotating rosters.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and ability to obtain any necessary certifications or licenses.
  • An understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
